Cellbond’s Dynamic Test Rig (DTR) is used for certification tests of both the aPLI and Flex-PLI legform impactors. The rig facilitates both inverse and dynamic impact conditions defined for the aPLI as well as the inverse impact and pendulum test conditions for the Flex-PLI in accordance with Regulation R127 and ISO TS 20458.
The DTR uses a linear electric motor to launch the linear guided impactor with honeycomb block for inverse dynamic tests on both impactors. The pendulum test specified for the Flex-PLI is facilitated by automated lifting of the impactor at the ankle ballast.
