The Knee Impact Stand is a versatile system designed for testing and certifying components of the upper leg on various ATDs, including the knee and knee slider. It assesses how these components respond to two types of tests: the knee impact test, involving a direct in-line impact at the kneecap centre, and the knee slider test, which looks at the relative motion between the tibia and femur bones during sliding knee movement.
