aPLI Hip Adduction Stand

The certification of the aPLI, as described in ISO/TS 20458, includes the annual assessment of the hip joint stiffness through the so-called hip adduction test. In this setup the leg is held stationary while the Upper Mass is rotated by prescribed moment. The resulting angle between Upper Mass and femur is recorded and compared against a Moment versus Angle corridor. The test is mainly meant to check for the so called SBL-B bumper. Note that users may wish to perform this check more frequently to confirm the bumper response.

The Cellbond Hip Adduction Rig allows to run this test in line with the procedures defined in ISO/TS 20458.
