Cellbond marks 35 Years of Innovation in Engineering

Cellbond celebrated its 35th Anniversary with colleagues from the global Automotive Passive Safety industry in Huntingdon on 11-12 September 2023.

A two-day Technical Conference took place at iMET, the new headquarters of Encocam, Cellbond’s parent company. Guests heard keynote speeches on Day One from Saeed Barbat (Ford US), Yukou Takahashi (Honda), Jon Farmer (Loughborough University), Jason Foreman (University of Virginia), Claire Baker (Imperial College London), Raul Arbelaez (IIHS), Richard Schram (EuroNCAP), Kevin Moorhouse (NHTSA), and Liangliang Shi (CAERI). A Gala Dinner provided plenty of opportunities for networking and catching up, before proceedings finished with a day of workshops and tours of Cellbond’s new Certification Lab and deformable crash test barrier manufacturing facility.

The event, which was sponsored by DTS, Transpolis, ESI, and CLF Packaging, was closely followed by IRCOBI 2023, which Cellbond hosted on behalf of the IRCOBI Council in the beautiful and historic city of Cambridge.

Cellbond’s Business Unit Manager, Oliver Khabiri, said after the event, ‘This was a fantastic opportunity to meet our customers and to be able to show them the significant investment and commitment to customer satisfaction. The move to iMET has created new opportunities, in terms of job creation, manufacturing space, and test facilities, and the whole team was proud to be involved in this hugely enjoyable and informative event.’
