OmniFlex Neck Sparks Interest at IRCOBI 2025

IRCOBI 2025 took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 10-12th September. It was a welcome opportunity to engage with colleagues and exchange ideas. As always, we learnt a great deal from the latest research into the biomechanics of injury. This field lies at the heart of what we do at Cellbond. It enables us to develop tools and solutions that help researchers and engineers better understand how to measure, and ultimately reduce, the risk of injury.

For this years’ conference, we featured the groundbreaking collaboration with Loughborough University; the OmniFlex Neck. For more information on the project, please get in touch with Biomechanics Test Device Engineer, Dr Daniel Haid, at daniel.haid@encocam.com.

Cellbond’s FEA and impact mitigation specialist Merhdad Asadi, PhD, presented a short paper as part of the conference proceedings. It was entitled ‘Determination of the Specifications of an Enhanced Upper Mass of the aPLI and Evaluation of the Functional Performance of the First Prototype’ (M.Asadi, J.French. Y.Takahashi).

The next IRCOBI Conference takes place in Munich, Germany, in 2026.
