The Cellbond ATD team is expanding and we have a number of Project Engineer roles available. Cellbond ATD design, develop and produce Anthropomorphic Test Devices, known as ATD’s or Crash Test Dummies. We are expanding, and are looking for enthusiastic and talented Project Engineers to join our team in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, to work on a new and truly unique challenge – the design and development of a brand new Crash Test Dummy!
Exciting and rewarding opportunities like this are hard to find. With only a few manufacturers of Crash Test Dummies worldwide, Cellbond is offering the right project engineer candidates a chance to work on a project that will be used in test houses globally to shape the future of driver and occupant safety for years to come.
Cellbond ATD’s head office is in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, but we have offices in The Netherlands, Germany, Spain, the US, and Japan, and are currently developing ATD Test Facilities in Germany and Japan to support our customers in these highly active regions.
Our Huntingdon facilities include R & D, FEA engineering and prototype development, ATD development testing, manufacture and assembly plants, and certification and calibration services. We have expanded a number of times over the past 30 years, have doubled our team and facilities over the past ten years and have now acquired a further high quality, prime location purpose built building to meet growing customer requirements.
Cellbond ATD also covers China, India and South Korea, working with specialist agents in these countries to ensure a high level of local service.
Our project engineers were pivotal in developing the highly successful advanced pedestrian legform impactor (aPLI), developed over a three year period and subsequently approved and adopted by Euro NCAP and China NCAP (C-NCAP) for use in tests to improve pedestrian safety.
Other products include the Q-Series Child Crash Test Dummy range, THOR-50M Dummy (the most sophisticated crash test dummy to date), Flex-PLI, pedestrian headforms and other impactors, aluminium honeycomb deformable energy absorbers. We also offer a full engineering consultancy service, with manufacturing capabilities.
Cellbond works closely with all leading OEMs including Volvo, Renault, Honda, Daimler, Jaguar LandRover, and global NCAP organisations (Euro NCAP, C-NCAP, Aus NCAP etc.)
We also collaborate with industry leaders such as Thatcham, and Millbrook in the UK, BAst in Germany, and NHTSA and IIHS in the USA.
