CATARC Adopts aPLI for C-NCAP Pedestrian Protection Protocol

We are delighted to announce that the China Automotive Technology and Research Centre Co., Ltd (CATARC) have officially announced their adoption of the advanced Pedestrian Legform Impactor (aPLI) for use in the C-NCAP Pedestrian Protection Protocol from 2021.

The Advanced Pedestrian Legform Impactor (aPLI) offers a highly biofidelic impact response. It will be used by Chinese vehicle manufacturers to develop safer vehicles for pedestrians, as well as by test labs working for C-NCAP. C-NCAP provides individual vehicle safety ratings for consumers, and is one of a number of new car assessment programmes worldwide.

Cellbond commend C-NCAP for this progressive approach to pedestrian safety.

An FE Model of the aPLI is available from ATD-Models GmbH.

Please contact us if you would like more information about the aPLI or to speak to one of our team.
