The core of the HyLoad energy absorber is aluminium honeycomb. It enables the maximum amount of energy to be absorbed in a minimum volume.
The pictures show components developed and manufactured in serial production by Cellbond for Saab, as an impact countermeasure behind the headliner of the vehicle.
HyLoad is manufactured from a range of aluminium honeycomb cores varying in energy levels from 0.2 – 2.0 N/m2 and can be customised to specific energy absorption levels. The HyLoad honeycomb energy absorber is clad with aluminium skins for better load distribution.
HyLoad can be manufactured to fit any application and can be fixed using either mechanical fasteners or by bonding.
